About the Role
The Administration and Communication Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the success of the Discipline of Trauma and Injury, which conducts research aimed at understanding the nature, causes, and effects of human injury. This research is crucial for developing injury prevention strategies and support initiatives. With strong industry and consumer engagement, the Discipline works with diverse data sources, ranging from clinical epidemiological repositories to community co-design efforts for injury prevention programs. Our team brings specialised expertise in Indigenous research methodologies, consumer engagement, co-design, epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health, enabling us to address a wide array of challenges related to trauma and injury.
In this role, the Administration and Communication Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing the office’s administrative functions and communication processes. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide executive support to the Discipline Lead, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and effective coordination within the team.

About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
- A tertiary qualification in business, administration or other relevant qualifications; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training
- High-level organisational skills and proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven experience with complex diary management and high attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience working with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity, and the ability to work flexible hours, as required
- Proven ability to take the initiative and anticipate and respond to business requirements
- Well-developed level of computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly, Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint as well as CanvaPro.
