About Us

BMI has been involved in organising leading virtual and in-person international education fairs in Asia, Brazil, Latin America, the Middle East & Europe. Over 2,400 international education institutions, Government ministries, National government agencies (such as Education USA, British Council & Education Ireland) and high school counsellors from 35+ countries have participated in a BMI event.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-profile international events in the education sector. This role involves managing workshops, conferences, and international student recruitment fairs across multiple countries, often within tight timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Management:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of international workshops, conferences, and fairs.
  • Ensure seamless event logistics, budget adherence, and high-quality delivery.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and accommodation providers.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resources.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks, including health and safety, crisis management, and security protocols.

Marketing & Post-Event Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on strategies to drive attendance and enhance brand visibility.
  • Evaluate event outcomes, gather feedback, and refine future strategies.

Operations & Logistics:

  • Oversee venue and contractor relationships.
  • Update and manage event-related content and exhibitor manuals.
  • Attend fairs to ensure smooth operations and address client needs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a fast-paced events or student organization environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Sheets.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally (6–8 weeks per year)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of international education markets.
  • Fluency in an additional language.
