The Dual Degree Program (DDP) in Technology & Management at HKUST is a prestigious and innovative program designed to cultivate leaders who excel in both technology and business management. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative teaching-track faculty member to design and implement a comprehensive curriculum on case analysis and experiential learning through consulting courses at the undergraduate level. This role will focus on integrating advanced technology and business strategies while facilitating consulting engagements with global enterprises. The ideal candidate will have strong background in both technology and business management, and substantial real-world consulting experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools focused on case analysis and experiential learning.
  • Create and implement experiential learning opportunities, such as consulting engagements with global enterprises, providing students with hands-on experience in real-world business contexts.
  • Train students on McKinsey consulting methods and frameworks, equipping them with the skills necessary to analyze complex business problems and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Incorporate advanced technologies and current business strategies into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty, industry experts, and global partners to ensure the curriculum is relevant, practical, and aligned with professional standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for faculty on the implementation of new curriculum components and experiential learning methodologies.
  • Evaluate and revise curriculum based on feedback from students and faculty, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have education in both Technology and business management. Background in CS/IT/AI preferred.
  • Candidates should possess at least a master's degree. An MBA will be a plus.
  • 1+ years of real-world consulting engagement experiences, preferably with a reputable consulting firm.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design, preferably at the undergraduate level.
  • Strong understanding of case analysis methodology, consulting practices, and contemporary business strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students in consulting techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into educational settings.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
