About the role
The School of Health Sciences is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of School HDR and Research Administration Coordinator.
The position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Associate Dean (Research) and academic research coordinators. The position is essential for advancing the School’s research initiatives and achieving Western’s strategic objectives in research excellence, partnerships, and capacity building. By enhancing research performance, strengthening capacity, improving quality and impact, this role positions the School and University as leaders in innovative and high-impact research. This on-campus position requires a presence at the Campbelltown, Parramatta South, and Kingswood campuses, with additional travel to various locations for other activities.
About You
You will have a degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of administrative experience and education/training in a large and complex organisation. You will have a demonstrated understanding of the challenges impacting the higher education environment, particularly in relation to higher degree research (HDR) and the needs of researchers. You will exhibit strong engagement and relationship management skills, building networks among a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will have a proven capacity to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes, whether working individually, as part of a team, or in support of senior staff and researchers. Additionally, you will have a high level of written communication skills, with the ability to research and write executive-level reports, publications, policies, and proposals, or significantly contribute to their creation. You will also demonstrate high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret, formulate, document, and communicate outcomes using various communication methods.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $121,056 to $130,572 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
