Your personal sphere of influence:

As a university assistant prae doc you will complete the research team around Prof. Dr. Christian Koller in civil procedure law. In addition to your independent research, you will contribute to publications and projects, hold independent and supportive courses, supervise students and be involved in organisational activities (conferences, symposia, etc.).

The employment durations is 4 years. Initially limited to 1,5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extensions.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching and administration, which means:

  • You are involved in research projects and publications.
  • You participate in the organisation of conferences and symposia.
  • You work on your dissertation and its completion.
  • We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
  • You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.

This is part of your personality:

  • Completed Diploma in the field of law
  • Very good academic record, excellent knowledge on civil procedure law (presentation of a transcript of records mandatory for applictation)
  • Interest in academic writing
  • Experience in academic writing and with research methods
  • High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German
  • IT user skills: MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of university processes and structures preferable
