Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Focused Lecturer in Criminology in the Department of Law and Criminology. The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the School of Law and Social Sciences, alongside the Departments of Economics and Politics, International Relations and Philosophy. We are forward thinking, multidisciplinary and research active team that offer undergraduate programmes in Law, Criminology & Psychology, Criminology & Sociology and Social Science, together with Master’s programmes in Social Work, Forensic Psychology and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies. We are also home to an energetic postgraduate research student community.  

We seek an outstanding teacher to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The Lecturer in Criminology post is offered on the teaching focussed track which requires colleagues to engage in scholarship activities as defined by the College. The teaching expectations will be on our UG programmes and PGT programmes in Criminology /Sociology and Criminology Psychology. Applicants should possess the broad range of skills needed to teach effectively within our existing programmes and contribute to our teaching portfolio. We also expect candidates to be able to engage students to improve the student experience.
