About the School / Service

The Strategic Development & Delivery team works in partnership with stakeholders across the institution, combining our specialist expertise, sector knowledge and institutional awareness to support the delivery of our vision to 2028 and beyond. This is a new Directorate for UEL and comprises of four main portfolios;

Insights & Decision Support, Strategy & Performance, Portfolio & Benefits, and Change & Improvement. These four service areas will facilitate effective decision making, improve our staff and student experience, and deliver lasting positive change.

About the Job

As an insight analyst you will use your proficiency with data tools and technologies to derive high quality insight from a range of institutional data and information. You will work with stakeholders across the institution to exploit the data assets available, providing the answers to priority business questions from both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Analysing multiple data sources to provide insights.
  • Developing solutions to meet stakeholder needs and manage expectations.
  • Helping stakeholders use insights to make informed decisions.
  • Explaining complex data in an easy-to-understand way for non-technical audiences.
  • Showing intellectual curiosity and process large amounts of data to inform decisions.
  • Embracing new technology and innovative ways of working.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency with data tools and technologies, enabling them to analyse multiple data sources effectively. They should have a proven ability to develop solutions tailored to stakeholder needs while managing expectations. The candidate must be capable of conveying complex data in a manner that is easily understood by non-technical audiences. Intellectual curiosity and the capacity to process large volumes of data to inform decisions are essential. Whilst a degree in a numerate subject is desired, it is far from essential and a good analyst can come from any background.
