About the Role

Flinders University is seeking a proactive Senior Technical Officer to manage the development and coordination of teaching materials and equipment for the South Australia Rural Medical Program.

In this role, you will oversee the setup and dismantling of clinical skills and simulation training sessions, ensuring a safe and organized environment. You'll also maintain equipment and manage stock supplies effectively.

Leverage your initiative and technical expertise to collaborate with staff across sites, sourcing and implementing new technologies that enhance the fidelity of our MD degree. If you are passionate about advancing medical education in a professional setting, we invite you to apply!

About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:

  • Completion of a diploma qualification with minimum of 2 years of subsequent relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and training
  • Well-developed experience with stock management and managing day to day operations
  • High level experience with technical equipment, including assembly, testing and repairing, and computer skills which incorporate management of a broad range of IT products
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS)
  • Ability to innovate advanced computer applications designed to program simulators or similar technical equipment including the processes involving related IT infrastructure
  • Ability to negotiate contractual/other arrangements with internal or external suppliers, departments or agencies on matters that may impact on the work area.
