The Role

We have vacancies in our Teaching and Learning Support Team. Our team provide a high standard of support for programme administration and learning and teaching activities. The team provide comprehensive end-to-end administrative support ensuring a high-quality and seamless experience for both students and academic staff. They are a point of contact for all students and academic staff advising on a wide range of matters. They implement faculty policy, processes and procedures and undertake administrative duties related to programme administration to ensure the service adheres to the policies, processes and procedures of the University, Quality Assurance (QA) and Codes of Practice. A broad range of support and administrative services across all programmes is provided including but not limited to inductions, timetabling, and examinations. Administrative support to relevant committees, including Boards of Examiners, ensuring they are serviced and aligned with the University’s Code of Practice is provided. Successful applicants will be based on the Avery Hill Campus or Medway Campus. Please note there is no London Weighting Allowance for Medway staff.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with proven administrative experience, preferably in a large and complex organisation - ideally within higher education. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills. You can quickly build strong and positive working relationships with administrative and academic colleagues. You have excellent organisational skills and can plan and prioritise a busy schedule of work to achieve objectives. You will have strong IT skills and enjoy multi-tasking, having several projects on the go at any one time. Comfortable with rapid change, you are happy to be part of a close-knit team with shared objectives. Your track record includes servicing formal meetings, using records systems and databases, together with a commitment to continuous improvement and solving challenges through innovation. Great problem solving and decision-making skills are crucial alongside accuracy and an eye for detail.
