Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a permanent, full-time Pūkenga/Pūkenga Matua - Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics (Academic on Principal Pathway).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research in Applied Linguistics
- Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, onshore, online and offshore
- Supervising MA and PhD students
- Undertaking administrative roles within the school
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be an engaged and dedicated educator, with an interest in research which can enhance pedagogical effectiveness.
Key Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field
- A strong research agenda and publication record in Applied Linguistics
- Evidence of effective second or foreign language teaching
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work inclusively with staff and students from diverse background
