Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a permanent, full-time Pūkenga/Pūkenga Matua - Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics (Academic on Principal Pathway).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research in Applied Linguistics
  • Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, onshore, online and offshore
  • Supervising MA and PhD students
  • Undertaking administrative roles within the school

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You will be an engaged and dedicated educator, with an interest in research which can enhance pedagogical effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • A strong research agenda and publication record in Applied Linguistics
  • Evidence of effective second or foreign language teaching
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work inclusively with staff and students from diverse background
