About the Job 

The role involves providing comprehensive advice, guidance, and support to students and applicants with disabilities and dyslexia, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations and assistance to succeed academically. This includes assessing the impact of disabilities on academic performance, developing plans for reasonable adjustments, and liaising with academic and support staff to implement necessary changes. The position requires conducting interviews with students to understand their specific needs, offering study skills support, assisting with the use of specialised technology, and helping students access funding and support through Disabled Students' Allowances. Additionally, the role includes maintaining accurate student records, tracking progress, and delivering staff training on disability awareness and legal responsibilities under equality legislation. The role may involve occasional evening and weekend work and requires collaboration with various agencies to secure the necessary resources for students.
