About the role
We are seeking a forward-thinking, contemporary, and innovative scholar to join us as a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching within the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment, specifically in the Electrical program and related areas, with potential opportunities for leadership roles. Responsibilities include coordinating and teaching Electronics/Electrical Engineering subjects, conducting research, and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate (Masters and PhD) research students. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in contemporary teaching methods, including flipped teaching and e-Learning approaches. Collaboration with research and teaching staff within the School and fostering external relationships will be key aspects of this role, with opportunities for relevant leadership positions.
About You
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline and have demonstrated experience in curriculum and course development within this field. Your professional engagement with the Electrical/Electronic Engineering industry will complement your innovative teaching at the tertiary level, where you excel in facilitating learning for both small and large groups. You are adept in contemporary curriculum design, development, delivery, and assessment methods, including e-Learning. Your ability to teach related disciplines such as digital and analogue Electronics, semiconductor devices, control systems, mechatronics, and Power Electronics is essential. You have a proven track record in progressing research from inception to publication, with relevant publications to your name. Your experience in supervising research students at Honours or higher degree levels, along with your success in writing research grant proposals, showcases your research leadership. Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities, enable you to work effectively within a team.

Remuneration Package:
Academic Level B - $139,458 to $164,559 p.a. (comprising Salary of $117,844 to $139,151 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
or
Academic Level C $169,542 to $194,484 p.a. (comprising Salary of $143,410 to $164,728 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
