Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST funded project in the School of Electrical Engineering (SELECT)/ School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC), at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, (DST/CEST/CERI/OFF-GRID/SC-ST/2024/PR04 Dated 19.09.2024)

Title of the Project:

Design, Development and Demonstration of Scalable Smart Hybrid Solar/Biogas Stand-alone System for Energy Sustainable Livelihood

Qualification:

Essential- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation. Minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA in UG / PG from a recognized University/ Institute. M. Tech / M.E in Power Electronics/Power system/Energy/Embedded system selected through a process described through any one of the following:

• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests –CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
• The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, NISER etc.

Describe if any:

Experience in Power electronic hardware and simulation. Modeling and simulation in MATLAB/SIMULINK. To execute the research work detailed in the entitled project. Compilation of the results. Report preparation and presentation.

The selected candidates will be permitted to register for the Ph.D. program as per VIT rules and regulation

Stipend:

• For JRF consolidated pay of Rs.37,000/- per month + HRA
• For SRF consolidated pay of Rs.42,000/- per month + HRA
