Opportunity
GBS is in an exciting period of growth, and we are seeking experienced and driven Lecturers with strong backgrounds in Business Psychology. You will have a passion for teaching and you will be responsible for delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, and guiding students through complex business theories and practices. A commitment to academic excellence and innovative teaching methods is essential.

We are looking for full-time & hourly paid Lecturers to teach BSc Business Psychology. You will also need to be flexible to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Qualification:

  • A Master’s level in the relevant subject area and a PhD will be highly desirable. 
  • You will be able to demonstrate equivalent high-level professional experience in the related discipline

Essential Criteria

  • Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc. Those without this will need to complete this in their first year in post
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses
  • Experience teaching in the wider subject area. with evidence of innovative and effective teaching and ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with distance learning and supporting learners both online and face to face.

Role/Responsibilities

  • All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met, using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials. 
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate. 
  • Manage and lead modules/units. 
  • Keep up to date with subject-specific and pedagogic innovations. 
  • As part of a team, play a full and pro-active part in engaging and retaining students. 
  • Attend meetings as required, to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged with. 
  • To actively be involved in staff development activities and peer observations
