Position overview
The ANU School of Archaeology and Anthropology, CASS seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Anthropology to reinvigorate and extend medical anthropology, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to both Anthropology programs, as well as interdisciplinary programs focused on medicine and planetary futures. Their research should be at the cutting-edge of the medical anthropology field. The candidate will be a highly motivated, experienced, and collegial early career academic who brings expertise and educational innovation to a high performing school.
Candidates will be asked for evidence of on-going, active field-based research in Medical Anthropology; a strong publication record against opportunity; and a strong teaching record, in particular on-line and innovative teaching to a diverse cohort of undergraduate and Master students. Evidence of ability to gain competitive grants will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise independent PhD research projects, develop postgraduate coursework, teach into the undergraduate curriculum, engage in research, and serve on university committees as appropriate
