Project Overview:
Dive deep into the biology of cancer cells by joining Stjepan Uldrijan Research Group. We're on a mission to decipher molecular mechanisms controlling the oncogenic ERK signaling in malignant melanoma cells and contributing to melanoma resistance to targeted therapy. You will build on our recent breakthrough findings (Valcikova et al. 2024, https://doi.org/10.1073/pnas.232130512) that have the potential to translate into new, more efficient treatment options for this aggressive cancer.

We value global perspectives. Candidates should have spent at least two years in biomedical research outside the Czech Republic in the past three years (with a workload equivalent to at least 0.5 full-time employment).
- Alternatively, hold a Ph.D. diploma (or equivalent) from an international institution awarded within the past 3 years.
- Solid publication record: at least three original research articles published in the last three years (listed by the Web of Science, with IF above the field median, at least two of the articles in Q1).
- Skills & Qualities: We seek individuals with a background in molecular cell biology and cancer signaling, excellent communication abilities, fluency in English, and a passion for independent research.
What We Offer:
- Innovative Research Project.
- State-of-the-Art Techniques: Immerse yourself in diverse methodologies, including confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, expression profiling, proteomics, and more. Hone your skills and contribute to groundbreaking work.

Application Package:
Please prepare a CV with a publication list, contact information for three senior scientists who could provide reference, a motivation letter, a brief description of your research focus and the specific topic you intend to investigate, Ph.D. diploma, and documentation of your international experience.
