The Bursar of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position
Data manager for Centre of Excellence CREATIC (working hours 40 per week)
The Centre of Excellence CREATIC of the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno, was established on 1 January 2024 and focused on research and development of cell and gene therapy for selected rare diseases. We cooperate with the Fraunhofer Institute IZI (Germany), the University of Leipzig (Germany) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). The establishment of the centre will be supported by the prestigious European grant Teaming for Excellence and a grant from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for the next 5 years.
Do you have experience in managing data from different sources? Would you like to develop in the field of (pre)clinical data management? Are you interested in becoming an important support for our research teams?
We are currently looking for a Data manager who will be responsible for the complex data management of our cell and gene therapy research projects.

The scope of your work will be:
- Design, implementation and management of database solutions for data collection in preclinical and clinical research
- Creation of electronic record forms (eCRF)
- Creation and implementation of ETL processes
- Data analysis and visualization in the scope of basic reporting
- Creation and maintenance of standard documentation
- Active participation in research projects and new method development
Required qualification:
- Completed university degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable position
- Knowledge and experience with SQL
- Ability to work with data collection systems (EDC, CDMS)
- Knowledge of data processing and analysis using statistical software (SAS) and programming languages (R, Python)
- Knowledge of CDIS SDTM and OMOP data standards as an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Czech language, communicative level of English (min. B2)
- Systematicity, diligence, attention to detail and excellent communication skills (you will need to communicate and interpret important information to people who are not familiar with data management)
- Interest in the development of data management in biomedical research
- Ability to find new (innovative) solutions
- Orientation in the field of medicine, science and research as an advantage
