Description

The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is inviting applicants for a Post-doctorall Associate hire specializing in scientific approaches to cultural heritage research. This position combines cutting-edge scientific analysis with the study and preservation of cultural artifacts. 

Applicants will work within the group of Prof. Arneodo, specifically on applying analytical techniques from physics and chemistry (such as XRF, XRD, Raman etc.) on objects of cultural heritage significance with special attention to ceramics artifacts. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in physics or chemistry at the time of hiring. Knowledge of materials analysis techniques such as X-Ray Fluorescence, X-Ray Diffraction, Raman spectroscopy is required. Experience on ceramics analysis is a title of preference. The terms of employment are competitive and will include housing and travel subsidies.
