About the Role
In this dynamic role, you will deliver exceptional administration and student-focused support for medical, allied health, and nursing students on placement as part of the Department of Health, Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) program. As the go-to contact for remote-based student teaching and learning activities, you’ll help ensure a seamless and enriching experience for students across the Northern Territory and South Australia.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll contribute to various impactful projects aimed at improving student experiences and fostering a sustainable health workforce for our rural communities. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in a role that combines administrative excellence with a passion for education and healthcare.
This position will be based at the Nhulunbuy Campus and the incumbent will be required to live within the region.
About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
- Completion of a degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.
- Administrative and organizational skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and make independent and informed judgement on a range of student related matters
- Effective interpersonal skills and capacity to liaise with a wide range of community and health professionals
- Experience in planning and delivering a range of functions, activities, or events
- Financial management skills including the ability to monitor and report on program expenditure
- Computer literacy including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and applications

About Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory. We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. - Northern Territory Government legislation (the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007) now requires all individuals in child related employment or whose duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child, to hold a valid 'Working with Children Clearance' (Ochre Card). This position involves child related work and is assessed as requiring a Working with Children Clearance/Ochre Card.
- A current NT Driver’s License is a requirement of this position.
