Your personal sphere of influence:
The Institute for Corporate and Business Law is looking for a university assistant prae doc with an interest in corporate law issues to support teaching and research. The Institute is part of the Faculty of Law. The Institute's task is teaching and research in the field of corporate and commercial law.
Place of work: Faculty of Law, Institute for Corporate and Commercial Law (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrich Torggler, LL.M.), Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna.
The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible. The employment is expected to start on 01.04.2024.
Your future tasks:
- Cooperation in research, teaching and administration
- Participation in examination activities
- Contribution to publications/scientific articles
- Completion of a dissertation agreement within 12 - 18 months is expected
- Possibility of writing a dissertation
- Cooperation in and possibly independent holding of lectures to the extent of the provisions of the collective agreement
- Participation in and possibly independent teaching of courses to the extent of the provisions of the collective agreement
- Student support
This is part of your personality:
- Completed law studies (Master's degree or equivalent, e.g.: LL.M. (WU))
- Special interest in corporate law, possible dissertation in this subject
- Above-average academic success (at least in the field of civil and corporate law)
- Excellent computer skills (MS-Office)
- Experience in working with databases
- Very good written and spoken English
- Very good written and spoken German
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Didactic qualification
- Ability to work in a team
Advantageous: Experience in the university sector; business studies, economics or studies abroad
