Position Summary
Dominican University, located in San Rafael, CA, is seeking enthusiastic and committed Clinical Instructors to work as members of a strong nursing faculty team. Reporting to the Nursing Associate Dean, Clinical Instructors will work part-time with cohorts of 6-10 students in varied clinical agencies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Clinical Instructors are considered Dominican adjunct faculty and are members of SEIU.

Dominican University of California is an independent, international, learner-centered university, offering both undergraduate and graduate programs. The University is located 12 miles north of San Francisco nestled in the foothills Marin County. Dominican has a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio, an average class size of 16 with a small-town feeling in a park-like campus. We blend interdisciplinary core courses, real-world studies, and small classes with close and supportive academic advising and mentoring.
Adjunct Compensation
Adjunct Faculty members are employed in a professional capacity at the University. For courses, including service-learning courses and laboratories, the University compensates Adjunct Faculty Members on a per-unit basis for Course-Related Work as set forth in Article 15 of the CBA. All other duties or work performed on behalf of the University as an Adjunct Faculty Member are compensated in accordance with Article 12 - Faculty Development or Article 16 - Special Compensation. Adjunct Faculty Members who teach on a per-unit basis shall receive compensation per unit for assignments as an instructor for a credit-bearing course or laboratory. Movement through the step system shall be based on total number of Dominican Points and satisfactory performance, as set forth in Article 13, Performance Evaluation.
