Level B
About the Role
The Lecturer in Paramedicine will play a pivotal role in advancing teaching and learning within the Bachelor of Paramedicine programs at the College of Medicine and Public Health. The successful candidate will independently enhance the educational experience by integrating innovative teaching practices and technologies, ensuring the highest standards of excellence in both instruction and the scholarship of teaching.
About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
- Clinical qualifications in paramedicine and current registration (or ability to obtain) with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (PBA)/AHPRA
- Experience with teaching and learning at a tertiary level and/or in an appropriate workplace setting, inclusive of simulation
- Good understanding of context appropriate assessment techniques and capacity to provide constructive feedback and evidence of a student-centred approach
- The ability to obtain and maintain an authority to practice as a paramedic with SA Ambulance Service or St John Ambulance NT
- Experience or capability to engage with students (and deliver teaching modules) via online learning platforms
- Successful and independent innovation in learning and teaching delivery or design, including use of e-learning technologies.
Level C
About the Role
The Senior Lecturer will take on a leadership role in fostering excellence in teaching and learning across the Paramedicine curriculum within the College of Medicine and Public Health. This position entails making substantial contributions to both teaching leadership and the scholarship of teaching, utilizing innovative practices and technologies to enhance educational outcomes. A deep understanding of contemporary paramedicine clinical practice will be essential. Additionally, the Senior Lecturer will play a vital role in serving the College and University, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic academic environment.
About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
- Completion of a PhD and/or qualifications and equivalent clinical experience in paramedicine
- Current registration (or ability to obtain) with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (PBA)
- Significant and sustained evidence of experience with development, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning at a tertiary level and/or in an appropriate workplace setting, inclusive of simulation
- Evidence of application of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline
- The ability to obtain and maintain an authority to practice as a paramedic with SA Ambulance Service or St John Ambulance NT
- Significant track record and demonstrated evidence of successful relevant paramedicine teaching experience and leadership at tertiary level, including responsibility for topic coordination, course coordination and curriculum design, reviews and internal and external accreditation activities.
