The Opportunity
Are you passionate about shaping the future of psychology? Western’s School of Psychology is seeking a dedicated Lecturer with practitioner experience in therapy, assessment, or consultancy, and possibly an endorsement in a specialist area of psychology.
As a Lecturer, you will play a crucial part in teaching psychology, developing curriculum, and enhancing the quality of our programs. You will also contribute to the research direction of the School by publishing in high-impact journals and securing competitive research funding. Your responsibilities will include supervising coursework, honours, masters, and higher degree research students, as well as participating in the administration and development of our psychology programs. This is a full-time, ongoing position with campus location to be discussed. The School of Psychology is based across three campuses located at Bankstown, Parramatta and Kingswood, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About You
You are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with a deep commitment to advancing the field of psychology. With a postgraduate qualification and a PhD in Psychology or nearing completion, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise. As an AHPRA registered Psychologist and a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor (or on the path to becoming one), you are well-equipped to guide and mentor students. Your developing record of research dissemination and potential for high-quality publications, along with your experience in securing research funding, highlights your dedication to academic excellence. You have a proven ability to supervise research, and your experience in quality teaching at the tertiary level, including the use of contemporary e-learning methods, makes you an invaluable asset. Additionally, you have experience networking with external organisations outside of the university sector.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $139,458 to $164,559 p.a. (comprising Salary of $117,844 to $139,151 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
