Your personal sphere of influence:
The Institute of Corporate and Business Law is looking for a university assistant prae doc with an interest in corporate and/or business law and/or competition law to support teaching and research.
The Institute is part of the Faculty of Law. The Institute is responsible for teaching and research in the field of corporate and commercial law. The position is advertised for 4 years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-extension after a maximum of 12 months.
Place of work: Faculty of Law, Institute for Corporate and Commercial Law (Prof. Dr. Friedrich Rüffler, LL.M.), Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna.
Duration of the fixed-term contract: 4 years, employment level: 30 hours/week.
Your future tasks:
The range of your responsibilities include:
- Collaboration in research, teaching and administration
- Assisting with examination activities
- Contributing to publications and scientific articles
- Completion of a dissertation agreement within 12-18 months is expected
- Possibility to write a dissertation
- Participation in and independent teaching of courses
- Studental supervision
This is part of your personality:
- Completed degree in law
- Special interest in corporate and/or company law and/or competition law (intended dissertation in one of these subjects)
- Above-average academic success (at least in the field of civil and corporate law)
- Experience in working with databases
- Very good written and spoken German language skills
- Very good written and spoken English language skills
Your personal requirements:
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Didactic qualification
- Ability to work in a team
- Advantageous: Experience in the university sector
