The Department of Animal Physiology and Immunology (Institute of Experimental Biology) at the Faculty of Science of MU is a modern, fully equipped workplace where individual research groups are engaged in research at all levels - from molecules and cells through invertebrates to humans; from basic research to the application of results in human and veterinary medicine. Job Description
Key Duties:
To participate in the implementation of research projects in collaboration with other members of the research group To explore new questions in biology and seek innovative ways to analyze data. Skills and Qualifications
The applicant must have:
Master’s degree in bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics or computational biology Experience in programming languages (Python, R) that implement statistical analyses Work with operating systems (Linux, MacOS) Good communication skills (oral and written) in English Willingness and ability to interpret work procedures with non-computer experts Good data organization and reproducibility of analyses Knowledge of various tools, software, and databases used for analysis of sequencing techniques is welcome (single cell multiome ATAC) Experience in the field beneficial Informal inquiries about the position can be sent to Peter Fabian, Ph.D. email fabian@sci.muni.cz, phone +420 549 494 465.
