This Ph.D. position will be supervised by Prof. Liyuan Deng.

Duties of the position

  • Conducting Experimental Research: develop, characterize and test a "new generation" of gas separation membranes for CO2 separation and evaluate their durability under industrial separation conditions.
  • Process Simulations: an initial tecno-economical evaluation will be established to allow a realistic comparison with membrane or absorption systems in terms of costs and energy use
  • Publication and Dissemination:  Publish the research findings in well-known international journals. Present research outcomes at national and international conferences to disseminate knowledge.
  • Education: Take part in the mandatory PhD research education program.

The candidate is expected to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive research environment, actively participate in group meetings and departmental activities, and adhere to project timelines and milestones.
