Faculty
You will join a truly innovative School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, with a suite of postgraduate programmes which credit bearing and NHSE-commissioned CPD pathways.  We also have our fully integrated 4 year and 5 year (sandwich) MPharm programmes based on Team-Based Learning (TBL), in addition to two further undergraduate programmes, and excellence in research.

What you will be doing:
The key objective of this postholder will be to lead, oversee and develop our suite of programmes for postgraduate pharmacists.  This currently includes our Foundation Training programme (delivered with external partners), NHSE commissioned national pathways in mental health (pharmacists) and critical care (technicians), MSc/PG Diplomas in Foundation Pharmacy Practice and Advanced Pharmacy Practice and Independent Prescribing and our new MSc Clinical Pharmacy and Healthcare Leadership.  The postholder will:

  • Be a key member of the team delivering our postgraduate taught clinical programmes
  • Have input into the strategic direction of our provision, including bidding for external contracts and developing collaborative partnerships
  • Undertake research in a relevant area and support pharmacists to develop their research potential.

Qualifications/ experience:

  • MPharm degree or equivalent (if obtained outside the UK) and a GPhC registered pharmacist
  • Advance HE Fellow or equivalent experience and commitment to obtaining this following appointment
  • Experience of working and planning strategically and influencing change
  • Evidence of programme leadership and enhancement, or leadership of large core modules 
  • Evidence of resolving complex education and/or research related problems, using initiative and creativity whilst ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and policies
