Position Overview: MARI-SPACE seeks a dynamic and innovative Assistant Professor specializing in composite materials. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and service activities related to aerospace materials and technologies. This role offers an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and collaborate with leading experts in the field. 

Key Responsibilities:
Research: Conduct cutting-edge research in materials science, focusing on composite materials, lightweight structures, and advanced manufacturing techniques for aerospace applications. Explore structural mechanics, fatigue analysis, vibration damping, and damage tolerance in aerospace structures. Innovate and develop materials for high-temperature environments, space exploration, and defense systems. Utilize advanced manufacturing techniques to enhance material performance and reliability.

Teaching: Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in materials science, structural mechanics, and related subjects. Mentor students and guide research projects in these areas.

Collaboration: Foster interdisciplinary collaborations within the department and with external partners. Contribute to grant writing and seek funding opportunities for research projects.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in materials science and structural mechanics. A strong record of research publications and a clear plan for future research. Effective teaching skills and experience in course development. Ability to work collaboratively and engage with the academic and industrial community.
