The Faculty of Education, Health & Human Sciences is seeking to appoint a Faculty Operating Officer to join the Senior Management Team of the Faculty.

Reporting to the PVC and Executive Dean, the Faculty Operating Officer (FOO) will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of all professional and technical services and processes in the faculty.

The FOO will hold overall faculty responsibilities for finance, human resources, operations, space, technical services, student support services, facilities management, marketing and events.

The role will involve organising and coordinating the faculty interfaces with the university services provided centrally by Directorates as well as working collaboratively across the University on institution-wide projects.

The role of the FOO is key to the success of the University’s 2030 strategy. If you are an experienced leader with experience across different functional areas, and with the interpersonal skills to achieve outcomes in a complex organisation, this role could be a stimulating challenge and opportunity to develop your skills and experience for future progression.

The Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences is unique in the breadth and strength of professional education and training that we deliver.  We train and educate over twenty-five different professions and our long-standing reputation is evidenced in positive feedback, and the excellent commendations we receive from health, education and social care accreditation bodies. You will be joining a faculty that is building a strong interdisciplinary and cross-professional approach to solving the grand challenges facing society through the multidisciplinary Institute for Lifecourse Development.

The Faculty is split over three campuses - the magnificent Greenwich Campus whose buildings were designed at the end of the 17th century by Sir Christopher Wren, one of Britain’s greatest architects, the Chatham Maritime Campus, the former Royal Navy base whose numerous red-brick buildings echo its rich naval history and the Avery Hill Campus which is renowned for its excellent teaching and sporting facilities, with recent investment of £14 million in sector leading facilities such as the Greenwich Learning and Simulation Centre (GLASC)

We are looking for people who can help us deliver our mission of transforming lives through inspired teaching and research, through our values.
