Several posts are opened for application as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.:528625). Appointments will commence as soon as possible for a duration of one to two years, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Statistics, Public Health, or a related discipline. Knowledge and skills in mathematics, biostatistics, or advanced statistical techniques in clinical research, database management, and machine learning (AI) will be taken into account. They should have adequate knowledge of quantitative research methods, as well as a good command of written English. Experience and passion in research topics of palliative and end-of-life care, bereavement care, and public health will be an advantage.
The appointees will work with the Principal Investigator on various research projects related to palliative care, bereavement care and end-of-life-care for general patients and families, and persons with disabilities. Major duties include advanced data analysis and manuscript preparation for the projects. They are expected to work independently on project management, proposal preparation and mentoring junior research staff members.
