The Centre is searching for Associate Professor / Assistant Professor of Teaching who can support research, teaching, and knowledge transfer activities in the areas of arts, technology, and business. The appointee will be mainly responsible for (a) overseeing academic programs with a focus on design and technology in business school, (b) engaging in teaching and learning activities, including coordinating and instructing inter-disciplinary courses and managing and mentoring students, (c) conducting research activities, such as applying for internal and external grants, publishing papers in top-tier journals, and presenting findings at conferences, (d) undertaking knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship activities, particularly in interdisciplinary projects that integrate design and technology, with a focus on interactive arts, (e) managing product development initiatives, providing guidance to startup ventures, securing funding, and mentoring teams for entrepreneurial success, (f) contributing to other administrative matters as assigned by the supervisors.

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a Ph.D. degree in Interactive Arts, Information Technology, or a related field; (ii) experience in academic program management and pedagogy innovation; (iii) a track record of quality publications and grants-based research in areas relevant to the center’s profile; (iv) a proven entrepreneurial background with experience in leading successful projects is a plus; (v) proficiency in English and Mandarin; and (vi) a diverse skill set encompassing Interactive Design Development, Product Design, Digitalization, Project Management, and Cultural Digitalization.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. Appointment will normally be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years.
