The School of Humanities invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of Post-doctoral Fellow in Philosophy (Ref.: 530038), to commence August 2025. The initial appointment will be for two years, with the potential for extension for an additional year.

Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. degree in philosophy by the time of appointment. The position is open to all areas of specialization within value theory very broadly construed (to include ethics, political philosophy, social philosophy, aesthetics, and other cognate areas).

This appointment will be affiliated with the Hong Kong Ethics Lab: https://www.hkethicslab.com. The post-doctoral fellow is expected to participate actively in the work of the Hong Kong Ethics Lab.  Applicants should submit project proposals (max 5 pages) that fall within the research centre’s broad remit to drive academic research and public engagement on pressing issues of ethical concern. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Post-doctoral fellows will have access to a generous research budget intended to support their ongoing professional development.
