Post-doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 529977) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Psychology, Education, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a relevant field, preferably with research experience in children’s cognitive development and learning; (ii) solid statistical and computing skills such as structural equation modeling and growth curve modeling and be experienced at using statistical software such as R, Mplus, SAS, and Lisrel; (iii) relevant scholarly publications; and (iv) the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in oral presentations in Chinese and English.
The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator to conduct research under his supervision in a predominantly independent manner, and pursue investigations on mathematical and science learning and other related research studies. He/She will work mainly for several longitudinal and intervention studies of children’s mathematical and science learning. He/She will be mainly responsible for (a) data analysis and interpretation; (b) preparation for publications in peer-reviewed journals; and (c) research design and development.
