Working 14 hours per week, as part of Vice Chancellors Office, you will support the Associate Director of Health and Safety in the implementation of the Universities Health and Safety Strategy and Plan within the Greenwich Business School (GBS), ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining the health and wellbeing of staff, students, contractors and visitors.
The successful candidate will be part of a small but high performing team, providing competent advice on operational health and safety matters, reviewing related risk assessments / codes of practice, conducting investigations into significant incidents, ensuring all local H&S post holders complete relevant training to enable them to complete their tasks, and maintaining associated local records.
You will provide a flexible, proactive and visible approach to all Health and Safety matters and encourage a positive attitude towards Health and Safety throughout the Faculty.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to help the University meet and surpass its statutory obligations and ensure staff and students at the University of Greenwich are healthy and safe.
To be successful in this role you will have a broad understanding of workplace Health and Safety, including knowledge of the UK legislation and enforcement system. You will hold a relevant recognised qualification, to the minimum standard of NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 5, or equivalent post graduate Health & Safety qualification.
