About the Role
The Digital Content Producer will be working with the Research Partnerships Director (Special Projects) to implement the Portfolio’s Marketing and Communications Plans. The incumbent will ensure content created, is engaging and one that tells stories, whilst communicating key messages effectively across a range of channels, in the form of writing, editing and publication.
The incumbent will also engage with content contributors and subject matter experts, including external bodies and partners, who play a pivotal role in sourcing and creating short and long form copy and multimedia content suitable for different customers and stakeholders and which can be repurposed across a range of channels.
This role involves producing and publishing multi-media content that delivers measurable outcomes, is accurate and adheres to university and industry standards and priorities and creates a consistent experience across multiple digital platforms.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Leadership Team comprise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Training and Capabilities) and Dean of Graduate Research, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Enterprise and Infrastructure), the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Performance and Impact), the Chief Research Development Officer and the Research Lead: Indigenous Research Strategy. This team, together with the Research Development and Support (RDS) and the Office of Graduate Research (OGR) Teams provide leadership and support to achieve the University’s research goals.

The Research Development and Support (RDS) Team works with Flinders researchers, Colleges, Institutes and Centres, other portfolios and external stakeholders to proactively support research.
The Office of Graduate Research (OGR) Team provides support, expertise and guidance for prospective and enrolled HDR students, HDR supervisors and Colleges through each stage of candidature and professional development.
About You
An excellent communicator and passionate go getter, your enhanced interpersonal skills, enable you to work in a cohesive team environment, along with internal stakeholders. You adapt to changing circumstances with ease and enjoy the variety of tasks that this role brings and appreciate the rewarding opportunity to be proactive and engaged in your work.
You have experience in writing, editing and proof-reading multi-media content for online channels tailored to diverse audiences, with a sound knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and the ability interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures, including content delivery standards, usability and accessibility.
Your problem-solving and organisational skills paired with your ability to work autonomously, allow you to ascertain and prioritise tasks whilst also meeting deadlines.
To be successful in this role you will also demonstrate:
- Knowledge of best practice principles and standards for digital content across web, social and email marketing. This includes an understanding of the principals of information architecture, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI), page design, content management and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) as they relate to web production and publication.
- Well-developed experience working within a Content Management System (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). Experience in Adobe Experience Manager will be an advantage.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign for basic creative production.
You will also have completed a degree in communications, media studies, marketing or a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and / or education and / or training.
