The Position

This is a key role for a Software Engineer to support the work of developing software tools for the analysis and visualisation of large 3D volumetric images within the Department of Material Physics, Research School of Physics.  The successful candidate will be working in a small team comprising experimental and theoretical scientists, research students and software engineers, working on software for geological data acquisition and analysis.  This role is integral to the delivery/support of the Material Physics’ CTLab and Digital material analysis team on 3D imaging and multiscale image analysis tools.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with C++ and python skills to develop software tools for the analysis and visualisation of Large 3D volumetric images.

The person will be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and clients. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
