Limited contract: The contract for this position is limited to 5 years.

Your personal sphere of influence:

The Polz lab is looking for a postdoc to study bacterial predation. The goal is to characterize the diversity of bacterial predators in the coastal ocean and how they interact with their prey at the molecular level. The aims of the project are to isolate and characterize the diversity of predators, to determine varying efficiency and specificity of predatory interactions, and to characterize susceptibility and resistance factors in the prey.

The candidate is expected to drive the research project but also to actively participate in teaching and administration. This includes involvement in research projects/research studies, international publications, and presentations at seminars, workshops and conferences. The supervision of students and teaching as regulated by the collective agreement is expected. We invite applicants to submit their curriculum vitae, letter of intent, and diplomas.
