About the Role
The Student Placement Team Leader, internally referred to as the Work Integrated Learning Team Leader is responsible for providing operational leadership of support services for student placements.
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
- Supervising Student Placement Support Officers within the College-aligned teams, including mentoring and managing their performance, work allocation and ongoing development.
- Developing, evaluating and maintaining relationships with government and non-government agencies and industry partners to increase student placement opportunities.
- Developing and continuously improving procedures, processes and guidelines that comply with University policies, relevant legislative and professional accreditation/industry requirements.

You will have a growth mindset, dedicated focus on enhancement of WIL processes and procedures, alongside exceptional leadership qualities. Your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills will assist you in leading a team whilst, simultaneously developing and growing excellent relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. You will be competent in navigating complex management challenges, whilst remaining calm and considered.
To be successful in this leadership position, you will also demonstrate:
- Knowledge or professional experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of student placement programs.
- An ability to develop strategies, procedures and work practices to deliver high quality, efficient and effective services and outcomes.
