The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join Library and Learning Services (LLS) at the University of Surrey as our Library Experience Lead. The position offers an exciting opportunity to ensure we continue to deliver a first-class, inclusive, welcoming, and accessible Library service and study environment for all our library users.
The post holder will have the opportunity of providing operational management of frontline services that enhances the experience of all library users and supports our Education and Research strategies. The post holder will be responsible for line managing the Library and Learning Advisor team, overseeing the enquiry management system and maintaining the daily smooth running of our vibrant library building, ensuring that our first-class learning environment is maintained, whilst guaranteeing we are responsive to the changing expectations of our users.
About you
You will be a positive person, be able to use your initiative and problem solve to support the day-to-day operations of the service. You will be an effective communicator, ideally with management experience and be able to work flexibly and collaboratively with various stakeholders in the Surrey community to provide the highest level of support to enhance the student experience. You will also be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to diversity and inclusion.
You will be required to participate in frontline services as required, and contribute as part of your core hours in the oversight of support and building access outside standard daytime hours.
