About the Role

The role sits within the International Admissions and Compliance team which has a core focus on assessing applications, issuing offer letters and processing acceptances for international students who want to study at the University. We are seeking a person who is customer focused, detail oriented, has an ability to problem solve, use initiative and enjoys the challenge of working in a complex, multi-cultural environment.

The position plays a key role in supporting international student recruitment outcomes in delivering a high level of customer service to prospective students as well as internal and external stakeholders.

Please note - This position may require work outside of normal hours with restrictions on taking leave during peak work periods.

About You

With your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will achieve a high level of customer service standards to maintain strong and constructive relationships with diverse staff, students, and industry stakeholders. You will be well versed in diplomacy to communicate complex and sensitive matters in a cross-cultural working environment. Your keen attention to detail will allow you to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while always demonstrating a commitment to high quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Experience working with international students, including an understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.
  • High-level administrative skills including data entry, word processing, speed & accuracy, along with a commitment to  attention to detail and an ability to be solution focused.
  • Well-developed computing skills including the ability to effectively utilise web and computer-based systems and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of programs and experience in the use of CRM systems.
  • A general understanding of the ESOS Act, Government visa policies and the National Code as they related to the assessment and issuance of international student offers.
