Professor for Department of Experimental Biology
Workplace:

The Department of Experimental Biology at the Faculty of Science MU is a modern, fully equipped workplace where individual research groups are engaged in research at all levels - from molecules and cells to invertebrates and humans; from basic research to the application of results in human and veterinary biomedicine.

Description of the offered position

  • Involvement in the educational process of undergraduate and graduate students of experimental plant biology (teaching and thesis supervision)
  • Research activities in the field of symbiosis of plants and microorganisms
  • Searching for funding opportunities and applying for research projects, solving ongoing projects
  • Assisting in the promotional events for the public of Section of Experimental biology of plants

Skills and Qualifications

  • MSc. university degree and professorship in the field of Plant biology, Microbiology or related biological fields
  • Long-term research and publication activities in the field of plant physiology and soil mikrobiology
  • Proved ability to apply and successfully conduct grant research projects
  • Ability to present results of research in Czech and English languages
  • Ability to teach subject focused on plant mycorrhizal interactions in the Czech language (native speaker or documented C1 language certificate)
  • Good knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Active approach to applying for national and international research projects
