About the Role

Working with the Associate Professor in Health and Social Care Economics and members of the CFI, the Research Fellow will contribute to the design, implementation and analysis of economic evaluations alongside randomised controlled trials and other prospective study designs for health and aged care. Using their specialist health economics skills and expertise in collaboration with research teams, the Research Fellow will successfully deliver project milestones and Key Performance Indicators.

The incumbent will contribute to the attraction of externally funded grants and report on new and current research related to the CFI research themes, through generation of high-quality publications and conference presentations.

About You

Your well-developed interpersonal skills, enable you to collaborate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and industry partners. Your excellence in communication both written and verbal, enable you to thrive in an academic environment. With demonstrated experience in collaborative research, you’re able to maintain effective relationships with staff and industry as well as deliver high-quality publications and conference presentations.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Completion of a PhD in health economics, health services research or related discipline.
  • Research experience in terms of publications in high quality journals and presentations at a national and/or international level in health economics and/or another area of key strategic focus for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
  • Delivering project targets on time.
  • The ability to plan and execute data collection and analysis.
  • An understanding of contemporary issues in healthcare, patient care and delivery of health policies.
  • Experience in acquisition and/or analysis of linked administrative data.
