About the Role

The College of Science and Engineering is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Digital Forensics to contribute to the quality research, planning and delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching within the discipline of Digital Forensics.

The successful incumbent will make independent high-quality contributions to research, through activities such as quality publications, external grant acquisition and by strengthening existing partnerships or exploring new partnerships with external stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will provide leadership and contribute to the planning and delivery of topics, including development of teaching materials, delivery of lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies.

To be successful as the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Digital Forensics, you will:

  • Undertake a lead role in inspiring and innovative teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience.
  • Make a significant contribution to ethical, high quality and innovative research through activities such as scholarship, quality publication, external grant acquisition, mentoring and developing early career researchers.
  • Undertake a lead role in the planning, delivery and evaluation of lectures, tutorials, laboratory-based material, curriculum development or other teaching strategies.

Relocation and Visa support is available for the successful candidate.

About You

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of industry collaboration, teaching excellence and winning research grants within the area of Digital Forensics. As an innovative leader within teaching and research, you will strive to grow the reputation of research in Digital Forensics and demonstrate a student-focused approach to maximise learning outcomes.

Candidates will be determined to be suitable for Level B or Level C positions depending on their relevant experience. In this position, you will also demonstrate:

  • Completion of a PhD in a computer science related area, or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of, or capacity to, undertake high quality teaching in a tertiary environment, including involvement in topic coordination and curriculum design.
  • A sustained track record of high-quality publications and success in winning external competitive grants (research in digital forensics, cyber security or software engineering is highly desired).
