Role Description

This team plays an important role in specialised materials performance improvements.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our High Temperature Surface Engineering centre supporting a variety of specialist materials projects.
You will provide technical and manufacturing support in a variety of interesting projects linked to the Royce Institute activities within the High temperature, Corrosion and Erosion centre. You will be able to support researchers, students and external clients in wide ranging, interesting and challenging projects. You will also become fully responsible for the operation, maintenance, safe working and standard operating procedures of specialized equipment and laboratory areas.
About You
For this role BTEC Level 3 advanced Apprenticeship completion in a relevant discipline and/or significant experience is regarded as essential. You will need to be a self motivated, proactive person with a calm approach to challenges.
Ideal skills for this role are: good communication skills, a good working knowledge of health and safety, the ability to learn quickly, with significant working experience in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline being most suitable.
