Post-doctoral Fellow in Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 528788

We now invite applications for the captioned post(s) available in Prof. Cui Xiaodong’s group.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • work on a project related to 2D semiconductors
  • coordinate data collection and analysis
  • support the organization of dissemination events
  • assist in the preparation of reports
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree in physics
  • at least 1 year’s relevant working experience
  • an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • the ability to work on a tight schedule to meet project deadlines
  • the ability to work independently and in a team
  • self-motivated and responsible
  • familiarity with the local education system with experience working with schools and managing educational research projects as an advantage
  • knowledge of analyzing quantitative research data using advanced statistical methods (e.g., MPlus, R) is preferred.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
