Senior Lecturer - Chemistry

Khalifa University is a leading academic institution dedicated to providing world-class education, research, and innovation. The Department of Chemistry within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Khalifa University invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position in Chemistry. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Chemistry, or a closely related discipline, from an accredited institution with a strong background in Chemistry.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver an exceptional teaching experience to our undergraduate students within the Chemistry Department, in the subject areas allocated to them, and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of Khalifa University.

The responsibilities of the Senior Lecturer shall be an appropriate combination of: 

• a) Dissemination of knowledge through undergraduate and/or graduate teaching; and
• b) University and community service

Successful candidates are expected to teach the undergraduate courses as required, bringing not just expertise but also enthusiasm and innovation to the classroom.

The position demands candidates with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for those who have gained education from and/or served in distinguished higher education institutions. Preference will also be given to applicants who have demonstrated a passion for teaching and have experience in inspiring and engaging students. This evidence should be seen in the candidate's past roles and teaching philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in a related discipline from a recognized institution

A minimum of 8 years of experience relevant to the position and only individuals holding an MSc degree will be considered, while those with a PhD will not be accepted
