Research Assistant Professor in Radiation Physics (Ref. 240821005)

Department of Health Technology and Informatics
The Department of Health Technology and Informatics is comprised of Medical Laboratory Science and Radiography, two well-established healthcare disciplines whose tertiary education has a long history of over 40 years in Hong Kong. The unique combination of these two healthcare disciplines in one department enables us to share expertise across the two disciplines and excel in both research and education programmes. Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) conduct research as the main duty and actively pursue external research grants, such as General Research Fund, as Principal Investigator;
(b) provide quality teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level;
(c) contribute to departmental service; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a doctoral degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy or a related discipline;
(b) preferably have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience;
(c) have demonstrated promise of a high level of creative ability in research and teaching in some subdivisions of his/her field;
(d) have a strong motivation for education and be able to demonstrate effective classroom teaching skills; and
(e) be highly proficient in written and spoken English.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive package including a medical benefits plan and a gratuity payable upon completion of the term which is normally for two years initially, with possibility of extension.
