We are seeking a proactive Student Communications Coordinator to join SED, working within the Student Communications Team, to generate impactful content across multiple channels in line with strategic priorities.

Student Communications exists to effectively engage and communicate with students to keep students well informed, promote opportunities, celebrate stories within the community, and empower students to connect with and contribute to the conversation.

In this role, you will create rich and relevant content. You will craft accessible, engaging and tailored content across multiple channels, ensuring it resonates with our entire community. You'll also analyse data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, using insights from student engagement and feedback to refine and enhance our communication campaigns. You will also work closely with the Student Communication Manager and other staff and students across the University.

Working at the University of Southampton gives you access to a wide range of benefits in addition to our competitive rates of pay. Our core benefits include pension scheme membership; a generous annual leave allowance (supplemented by University closure days and public holidays) and family leave arrangements (including maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave). Find out more about all of our benefits.

As a University, we aim to create an inclusive environment that attracts, supports and retains the best students and staff from diverse backgrounds and experiences from across the world. We are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We believe that we can only truly meet our objectives if we are reflective of society, so we are passionate about creating a working environment in which you are free to bring your whole self to work.

If you wish to discuss the role in more detail, please email Juliet Hasson, Student Communications Manager for an informal conversation. Juliet.hasson@soton.ac.uk
