Job Overview:
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and local regulatory requirements, maintaining program and institutional accreditation standards, and overseeing quality assurance for operations, professional development, and research stream services at the Academy.
This role involves managing curriculum audit records, conducting technical tasks related to data collection and analysis, and presenting research findings to support evidence-based decision-making.
The ideal candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in providing support to internal and external departments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment, implementation, and enhancement of institutional and program level outcome assessments.
- Spearhead the development and operations of the quality assurance department for both SEA operations and service streams such as professional development and research.
- Develop and implement institutional evaluation processes and protocols for university initiatives and operations.
- Lead the development of quality assurance related publications (i.e., quality assurance manual, online fact book self-studies, etc.).
- Administer institutional research, including designing all survey-questionnaires and providing regular reports and analysis of results.
- Remain current with developments in institutional and programmatic accreditation and regulations, attending conferences and training webinars, and completing other projects and duties as assigned.
- Provide guidance on governmental requirements, including complying with other regulations impacting the Academy.
- Serve as a resource for interpretation of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Oversee adequate record maintenance and ensure processes are in place to document compliance efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess a Master’s degree (or higher) in Education, Administration, Business Management, Student Affairs or in related field at a minimum.
- Minimum of 5 years experiences in institutional and program accreditation, preferably in a CAA-accredited university.
- 5+ years in managing or directing projects and programs.
- Proof of continued education and certifications is desirable.
Required Competencies:
A- Skills
- Expertise in developing and implementing quality assurance processes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct statistical analysis and interpretation, and utilization of statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Jamovi) and qualitative data analysis tools (e.g., NVivo).
- Experience with document resource management, filing, and tracking systems. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in interpreting mathematical data and constructing reports.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in interpreting academic and administrative policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in using data management and analysis systems (e.g., Banner, SPSS, Tableau).
- Knowledge of current educational technologies and their application in assessment and evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends and areas for improvement.
