The School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide seeks to improve the health of all people through building the public health workforce of tomorrow and leading solution-focused research today.
We are offering a continuing, teaching-intensive position for a Lecturer (Level B) to help us with this mission.
We are seeking applicants from a diverse range of Public Health disciplinary backgrounds. The successful applicant will be someone who complements or adds value to the range of skills already present in the School. Our School functions as a team. We support each other to strive for, and maintain, excellence in our teaching, research and pastoral care of students.
In this role, you will teach into, and coordinate, courses for undergraduate or postgraduate students studying public health. Actual subjects taught will depend on your knowledge and experience. Online teaching experience would also be welcome.
While this is a teaching-intensive position, your research interests would ideally align with and complement the strengths in our School https://health.adelaide.edu.au/public-health/research We are a School with a number of research groups of world leading calibre.
To be successful you will need:
- Doctoral or masters qualification in public health or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in the conduct of tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, or workshops.
- Understanding of, or research interests in, the pedagogy of learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated expertise and the ability to deliver contemporary theoretical concepts and applications in a relevant discipline area.
- Demonstrated experience of inclusive teaching, including adapting teaching delivery and content to the needs of a range of students.
